Unlock your creativity while building a strong foundation in art! In this engaging class, students will explore the fundamentals of art while learning about the techniques of famous artists throughout history as well as current artists and movements. Each week brings a new opportunity to experiment with materials and techniques using pencil, charcoal, acrylic, mixed media, watercolor, pastel, and collage, while developing essential drawing skills and discovering personal style. From sketching and shading to layering vibrant color and creating unique mixed-media projects, students will gain confidence in their artistic abilities and hone their creative eye. This class is designed to nurture creativity, build skills, and ignite a lifelong love for making art.

Let’s get creative with a needle and thread! In this fun and beginner-friendly class, students will learn the basics of embroidery, including how to thread a needle, transfer a design, and master several simple stitches like the running stitch, backstitch, and French knot.

Each participant will work on their own small project to take home—perfect for decorating backpacks, clothing, or as a handmade gift! This class is a great way to build fine motor skills, patience, and creative confidence. All materials are provided for a fee and no experience is necessary.

Unleash your inner photographer! This class is designed for students in grades 5 through 8 who are interested in learning the fundamentals of photography in a fun and supportive environment.

What We’ll Explore:

   •    Photography basics: composition, lighting, contrast, framing, and visual storytelling

   •    The art of creative exploration and developing personal style

   •    How to give and receive constructive feedback

   •    Confidence-building through hands-on practice and shared critiques

No experience required!

Whether you’re using a DSLR, a point-and-shoot, or a smartphone camera — all students are welcome. A digital camera with manual settings is recommended, but iPhones and other smart devices will work perfectly for most activities.

This is a great opportunity for young artists to learn how to capture the world around them, tell stories through images, and build skills that last a lifetime.

In this hands-on clay class, students will explore three unique types of clay—foam clay, air-dry clay, and polymer clay—to create imaginative, functional, and decorative artworks. Participants will learn basic sculpting techniques such as shaping, texturing, joining, and finishing, while discovering how each clay behaves differently. The class encourages creativity, fine motor skill development, and confidence in working with mixed materials. Each student will receive their own set of tools to ensure they are able to continue developing skills in class or at home.

In this class, students will work with fresh flowers, dried flowers, artificial flowers,paper flowers, succulents.They will learn basic arranging techniques, how to make a centrepiece using floral foam, transplanting and arranging succulents and much more.  We will also incorporate bow making with a variety of ribbon sizes. 

Student will receive a basic supplies list upon registration.

This  course covers the fundamentals of baking including cakes, cookies ,cupcakes and more. We will cover baking terminology, tools and equipment use, as well as basic decorating skills and techniques to make some delicious treats.

Students will learn how to safely create amazing little creatures and characters our of wool.  We will start with basic skills and techniques and complete a project together.  Students will then be given the freedom to make their own creations.  $15 materials fee will be collected on the first day of class to cover basic supplies needed to work on projects in class and at home.

Students will learn the basics of proper hand and body position, key location and work on accuracy and speed by doing a variety of drills and games. Since this class is only once a week, daily practice at home will be necessary to master skills. Students  are required  to have their own lap top or typewritter for class.

Whether you’re picking up a hook for the very first time or already love working with yarn, this class is designed for all skill levels. Beginners will learn the foundations of crochet—how to hold the hook, read patterns, and master basic stitches—while experienced students will be guided through more advanced projects and specialty workshops to expand their skills. Each session offers hands-on instruction, creative projects, and plenty of time to practice at your own pace. From simple starter pieces to intricate designs, students will enjoy the satisfaction of creating something beautiful with their own two hands.

In this hands-on class, students will learn the basics of hand sewing while creating fun and useful projects. We’ll start with sewing safety, proper needle and thread use, and simple stitches such as the running stitch, backstitch, and whip stitch. As skills grow, students will practice sewing buttons, seams, and decorative details.

Projects may include felt animals, pillows, pencil pouches, keychains, bookmarks, small stuffed items, or simple accessories. This class builds fine motor skills, patience, creativity, and confidence as students see their ideas come to life—one stitch at a time.

No prior sewing experience needed. All materials are provided unless otherwise noted.

Dig in and grow something amazing! In this hands-on gardening class, children will learn how plants grow while getting their hands dirty in a fun and engaging way. Students will explore soil, seeds, sunlight, and water, and discover how to care for plants from start to harvest.

Kids will plant seeds, tend a small garden, learn about flowers, vegetables, and herbs, and observe insects and worms that help gardens thrive. Activities may include watering, planting, harvesting, garden crafts, and simple science observations.

This class encourages responsibility, patience, curiosity, and a love for nature while helping children connect with where food and plants come from.

Pokémon Club is a fun, social, and creative space for fans of Pokémonto come together and celebrate everything Pokémon! Participants will explore the Pokémon world through games, crafts, drawing, trivia, and collaborative challenges. Students will become CSI experts by  learning about how their favourite detectives use science to figure out unsolvable thefts, arsons, mysteries and more. We will enter a new crime scene every week and participate in activities that will help us figure out how to gather and examine evidence to solve the crime. We will learn about fingerprinting, evidence collection, blood-stain identification, ballistics, fiber identification, dental impressions and much, much more.

This Financial Literacy math class is designed to help students understand basic finance.  We will cover, income, budgeting expenses, bank accounts, credit, simple and compount interest, taxes and much more.  Students will be given worksheets with key terms to memorize, as well as activities that will require parent participation to help children understand personal finances.  This is a fun interactive work but students will have projects and assignments that will be completed outside of class.

Huff, puff, and let the fun begin! In this playful theater class, young actors will explore the classic story of  The Three Little Pigs through movement, imagination, and pretend play. Students will practice simple acting skills such as using their voices, facial expressions, and bodies to tell a story while building confidence and teamwork.

Through games, songs, and guided role-play, children will bring the characters to life—pigs, wolves, and all! The class focuses on creativity, listening skills, following directions, and having fun on stage in a supportive, low-pressure environment.

Each session will work toward a short, informal performance on May 8th  for families so students can proudly share what they’ve learned.

No experience necessary. Costumes and props provided.

A playful introduction to acting, creativity, and confidence!
This class uses fun improv and theatre games to help students explore movement, voice, imagination, and teamwork in a supportive, low-pressure environment. No acting experience needed—just a willingness to play and try new things!

Students will learn to:

  • Express emotions and ideas through body, voice, and facial expression 
  • Listen, react, and collaborate with others 
  • Think creatively and build scenes on the spot
  • Grow confidence speaking and performing in front of a group

This youth-focused stretching, breathing, and movement class is designed to help students build strength, flexibility, balance, and body awareness in a safe, supportive environment. Using gentle stretches, guided breathing exercises, mindful movement, and light weights, participants will learn how to move their bodies with control, confidence, and care. The class emphasizes proper form, coordination, and listening to one’s body while keeping activities engaging and age-appropriate. Movements are low-impact and adaptable for all fitness levels, making the class welcoming for beginners as well as active youth looking to improve overall wellness. Sessions promote both physical and mental well-being, helping students develop healthy habits that support focus, stress management, posture, and injury prevention. Students will need their own yoga mat or beach towel for class.
