
Using the McGraw Hill Inspire Biologytextbook, this course is designed to meet college preparatory A–G science requirements through rigorous instruction, hands-on labs, scientific inquiry, and collaborative learning.
Course Description
This year-long high school biology course introduces students to the fundamental principles of life science through inquiry-based learning, laboratory investigations, discussion, and critical thinking activities. Students will explore cell biology, genetics, ecology, evolution, human body systems, and biotechnology while developing scientific literacy and lab skills.
The course follows California A–G laboratory science guidelines and integrates:
Classes meet once weekly for an extended 3-hour session to allow for comprehensive instruction, guided practice, labs, and assessments.
